Next Event: March 7, 2012
Using Video to Enhance Your Reach/Message
Presenter: Jeffrey Haney, owner of Lights in the Attic.
Jeffrey Haney is an award-winning videographer that is used to wearing many hats.
Jeffrey started in the video business as a 25 year old 2nd camera/intern for a live, 64 episode, satellite broadcast with Dr. Robert Ballard (explorer who found the Titanic) at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This experience convinced him that he found his niche in life. After graduating from the Art Institute of Seattle, he started working in the production field by fixing and selling grip and lighting equipment, then as an editor at a local cable television station. Jeff and his wife quickly realized that Seattle was a hard market to purchase their first home, so they both found jobs in September of 2003 in Salem, Oregon.
Moving back to Oregon was a dream come true. Jeffrey worked at Comcast Spotlight as a Producer/Director until December of 2008, when reorganization and the economy forced his 5 year plan of leaving Spotlight to start his own production company into a 2.5 month plan. Having already started Lights in the Attic Creative Media in March of 2006 as a part-time wedding and event videography business, Jeffrey moved swiftly into full time mode, a switch that he has found greatly gratifying.
Lights in the Attic Creative Media, located in Salem, Oregon, is now a full time production house, as well as an agency serving local clients. Lights in the Attic serves the entire Pacific Northwest and beyond with high quality HD video and web production. They also do scriptwriting, scout location services in the Pacific NW, virtual tours, budget analysis, client relations and development, mobile/web video production, and branding. Married to Tara Haney, a renowned wedding photographer, Tara and Jeffrey have one child Sophia Ryan, born on St. Patrick’s day, a pug, and two cats. Jeffrey enjoys camping, cooking, the Grateful Dead, and really good cheese.
